Good winter and early spring rains gave our vines a great start to the growing season. Budburst and flowering began a good week later than in previous seasons but in line with the long-term average. This was a hot and humid summer with a high potential for powdery mildew. Hand harvest commenced in mid-March and once again required diligent triage by the harvest crew to bring in a small but exceptional harvest.
