Vintage Report

2019

Early spring rainfall and moderate temperatures heralded a good growing season with bigger-than-usual canopies. Cool wet weather through flowering at the end of November affected flowering and fruit set, seriously affecting yields, and leaving us with smaller-than-usual bunches and berries. A warm dry January and February slowed vegetative growth and helped ripen our crop. Settled conditions in the lead-up to an earlier-than-usual harvest in March meant we hand-harvested fruit that was ripe and clean. While yields were very low, quality was exceptional.
